Category — Traffic Building
Blogging into the air…the lonely blogging blues. Are you alone in the blogosphere?
It seems like sometimes in the beginning of a blog, the traffic is sporadic and that folks just are either not coming around to read your posts or they aren’t returning once they do. Maybe they are coming to read, but there’s no comments, no feedback on your work. At times like these, you need to remember
to just keep plugging away and getting your message out to the masses. People will be inspired by your particular writing style. People will come to know your personality, your sense of humor, the je ne sais quoi, that makes your perspective unique.
Keep submitting your articles and stay on focus to what your blog’s theme is. Avoid going off in different thematic directions because you feel that because no one is reading, maybe your theme is bad. Chances are, your theme is fine, you just are lost in the sea of bloggliness. Don’t get down by the empty feeling, keep pounding out good content with good titles and good tags. Keep the sense of newness that you had starting out and don’t be discouraged by the results when you begin. Once you’ve started the process, you are already light years away of those who merely think about starting.
If you want to be an “interpreneur” then you need to stop worrying about all the doubt and naysayers and focus on what you believe in. Keep the passion in your work and keep plugging away. Write good content. Write good content. Write good content! Don’t forget to take time between writing to market your blog. There’s a ton of ways to get traffic - social networking sites, blog carnivals, blogging directories, you can buy adwords, you can comment on dofollow blogs, and you can comment on just normal blogs that you enjoy reading and sometimes you will say something profound and folks will come read what else you have to say.
Network and provide worth in what you say and what you do. The traffic will come and with it loyal readership. That’s something you can’t buy, you have to earn.

So you want to increase traffic to your blog for free? Here are some tips!
An important part of the arsenal of the blogmaster is finding and submitting your blog to the various blog groups and organizations. This accomplishes several things:
- Backlinking - The more sites that list and point towards your blog that are legitimate in nature, the more search engine juice you get.
- Organic Search Results mean more targeted traffic to your site.
- You encounter some really great blogs and ideas along the way to help inspire you to create and expand your own ideas.
- Clever ad placements - one of the things that I implemented on this blog was an invasive google adwords campaign. I did this not out of a random act of liking oddly paragraphed posts, I did it because it was proven statistically to be a great click source. So far, I’m pleased.
What are you doing to promote your site? Are you writing things that inspire you and others around you? Grow your ideas, grow your mind, and grow the vision of your site. All else will flow in from these sources.

MyblogLog community has some nocturnal activity!
I’m a night owl, up all night most of the time and as I surfed over to MyBloglog
and updated my information, I got a couple of people immediately checking me out. Pretty cool. Night owls unite! They asked that I submit a verification post, so that seems reasonable enough. After all, the enormous amount of traffic that is flooding into my site might very well want to check them out!
Day 2 of 4 trillion webnetworking updates!
